2026 Election Toolkit
How to Use This Resource
These resources can help you learn about drinking-water issues, communicate with your community, and prepare to vote.
Writing a letter to the editor: Start with the writing guide, then download one of the sample letters. The samples are starting points—not finished letters. Replace the bracketed information, add your own experiences and concerns, and revise the wording so the letter sounds like you. Before submitting it, remove all instructions and source notes and check your newspaper’s word limit and submission requirements.
Researching drinking-water issues: Use the water-bill summary and community drinking-water spreadsheet to find background information, local examples, and questions you may want to ask candidates.
Preparing to vote: Download the 2026 West Virginia General Election Voting Guide for registration information, important dates, identification requirements, absentee voting, and early-voting locations.
