Conservation WV Announces 2026 Endorsements for the WV House of Delegates

Conservation West Virginia works to protect the Mountain State’s natural heritage and the health of its communities by advocating for clean air, clean water, and responsible development.  An important part of this work is helping voters understand where candidates for public office stand on conservation and environmental issues and supporting candidates who share those priorities.

In late Spring 2026, we distributed a questionnaire to candidates in twenty House of Delegates races around the state. About half of those were returned. The questionnaire addressed issues including flood resilience, water quality, renewable energy, industrial development, protection of farmland and public lands, groundwater resources, and local control.

Following its candidate review process, the Conservation WV Board of Directors voted on July 28, 2026, to endorse ten candidates in Delegate Districts around the Northern half of the state.
