Relating to establishing economic incentives for data centers to locate within the state


This bill is to provides economic incentives for data centers to establish operations within the state and boost the state's economy by utilizing locally sourced coal-generated electricity. The bill offers salvage value treatment for personal property used by eligible data centers, exempts coal-generated electricity sold to qualifying data centers from the B&O tax, and grants a sales tax exemption for personal property purchased for the construction or maintenance of qualifying data centers.
