Relating to the members of the Public Service Commission


This bill aims to increase accountability and public involvement in the Public Service Commission by shifting from appointed to elected, non-partisan commissioners. It also allows citizens to initiate the removal of commissioners for malfeasance or conflicts of interest, provides reduced rates for qualifying low-income customers, and creates a more transparent and accessible method for consumers to engage in the utility ratemaking process.
